Perivale Park Athletic Track

We are a training school that is open to everyone.  We cater for athletes from the age of 12 and above but encourage the younger athletes to participate on a Monday and Wednesday night with the Perivale Panthers sessions.  During these sessions the athletes will under the guidance of qualified coaches be able to learn the fundamental skills involved in the different track and field events and these sessions give them a chance to try out the different events.

The main focus of the school is hammer throwing, but there is the opportunity for athletes to also come down and train with the school for the other throwing events.  There is qualified coaching available for all the throwing events.

The Hammer School has been awarded a number awards in the past including the UK Athletics award for Club of the Year in 2006.  2006 also saw the club awarded the Innovation Award and Emerging Coach of the Year Award.

The West London Hammer School was the first athletics club in London to gain the Club Mark which signifies the club’s commitment to being a safe, effective and child friendly club.
